Much has been said about first-year students' quest to find a place to live in Utrecht, but one would be mistaken to think the struggle is over once they do find a room. For many, housing remains a worry for the duration of their studies. Aware of the consequences this can have on students' mental health, UU tried to dissuade international first-years without rooms from coming, but that only made them feel mad and disappointed. Speaking of disappointment, the Dutch government announced higher investments in education, but universities and students don't think it's enough.
