Big shock for employees of the University Corporate Offices (UBD). They were told that 80 to 100 full-time jobs would disappear over the next three years. These cuts are in stark contrast to the 8.3 million euros UU has spent on student welfare in recent years. We list what this support to alleviate the effects of the corona crisis has been spent on. We also spoke to sisters Irene and Marieke van der Schaaf, who once received their PhDs at the same time and are now both professors at UMC Utrecht.
