Students who participated in the pro-Palestine protests last May told DUB the police used unnecessary violence, grabbing them by the wrists or dragging them by their feet, for example. Although fewer students are protesting for Palestine now, tensions are still high, with buildings being defaced with red paint and the Executive Board moving to another room as a safety measure. In other news, two UU scientists won the prestigious Spinoza Prize and Simon Stevin Prize this year and DUB had the privilege of sitting down with both of them for an interview.
